Jungle Legends Character Ultimates, End Game Rewards, New Map & Important News
Hello Jungle Legends community, we’re back with a closer look at what’s to come in our next major release and in this article we’ll talk about the character ultimates, what game modes to expect on release, a closer look at our newest map and some important news related to platform availability for Jungle Legends in the future. Please note that all of these are still being tested, balanced and tweaked, as you’ll notice character ultimates have been going through some changes since our last update.
Character Ultimates Showcase
After multiple rounds of playtesting we have reached a point where character ultimates feel unique enough for each character but more importantly, they feel fun to use in battle. The next images will provide a sneak peek of every character ultimate in the game and their effects during battle as well as an updated description of each ultimate.
Alex (Tiger)
Roar of Fury — With a fierce roar, Alex unleashes a torrent of fury that rips through the battlefield. The Roar of Fury envelops all nearby allies in a potent buff, while delivering a crushing debuff to any hapless foes caught in its wake.
Bonnie (Bear)
Ground Slam — With a thunderous impact, Bonnie smashes the ground, sending shockwaves rippling outwards in a deadly cone. The Ground Slam inflicts significant damage upon all enemies caught in its range, leaving them stunned in the aftermath.
Cranky (Cat)
9 Lives — Cranky’s 9 Lives ultimate ability grants him a brief but powerful reprieve from certain death. When activated, this ability ensures that any incoming lethal attack will instead grant Cranky full shields and a boost of 20% health. For an added bonus, the ability also provides a brief window of invulnerability lasting one second, allowing Cranky to make a strategic recovery and turn the tables on his would-be attackers.
Aldo (Gator)
Barrier Shield — Aldo’s Barrier Shield ability provides a vital layer of defence for himself and his allies. Upon activation, a sturdy wall of energy materialises before Aldo, capable of absorbing a significant amount of incoming damage. This powerful shield also serves as a strategic vantage point, allowing Aldo and his teammates to take cover and fire upon enemies with impunity
Lola (Bunny)
Rabbit Hole — Lola’s Rabbit Hole ability is a potent teleportation tool that also delivers a crushing blow to any foes caught in its path. By generating a rabbit hole at a designated location, Lola can instantly transport herself to the target area, emerging in a whirling flurry of motion that deals significant AOE damage to all enemies caught in the blast radius.
Rocky (Ape)
Banana Bomb — With the Banana Bomb in hand, there’s no foe too tough for our intrepid hero. Upon activation, this powerful grenade hurtles towards the nearest enemy, exploding in a brilliant flash of light and dealing devastating AOE damage to all caught in the blast radius.
End Game Rewards
Jungle Legends introduces three types of modes in which players can earn different resources: Normal Mode, Events, and Arena Stars.
Normal Mode — In this mode, players will be able to earn multiple types of valuable resources needed to progress their characters, weapons, accounts and earn loot boxes. This is where players will be able to choose what gameplay mode they want to queue up for.
Events (Missions) — In order to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging, we’ve crafted a series of time-limited events that will function much like specialized missions within the game. By participating in these events and accomplishing various objectives within the normal game modes, players can earn valuable resources and rewards.
Arena — Get ready to enter the competitive fray with Arena mode, the ultimate test of skill and strategy. In this mode, players will face off against other NFT players, vying for supremacy and valuable rewards. By competing in this high-stakes environment, players can earn Crown rewards, Trophies, and Leaderboard points, pushing themselves to new heights of mastery.
Let’s clarify what trophies mean and what they provide once the major release goes live. After each match, players will earn or lose trophies based on each match result (Won/Lost). At the end of each week, every NFT character will be ranked according to their accumulated trophies, with higher ranks yielding greater Crown rewards during matches. This comes in addition to the increased Crown rewards a player gets depending on their NFT level.
In addition to trophies, players will also earn Leaderboard Points based on their in-game performance. These valuable points can provide significant bonuses to Crown rewards at the end of the week, making it all the more important to bring your A-game to every match. With a wealth of rewards and challenges waiting in Arena mode, there’s never been a better time to test your mettle and prove your worth as a champion.
So why this separation?
The current gameplay structure makes it challenging to enjoy the game simply for the sake of having fun or exploring new strategies, weapons, builds, and characters. The reason being, every match that comes with a contract directly impacts a player’s earnings, leaving little room for experimentation. Additionally, as we look to expand our player base, it would be unfair for earnings to be gained when competing against those who are playing solely for enjoyment without any financial stake in the game. Therefore, we are introducing both competitive and non-competitive modes to provide a fair and balanced gaming experience. However, players will need to engage in both modes to maximise their progression in the game. This separation will also encourage players to try out all available characters within Jungle Legends, providing a distinct avenue for both competitive and casual gamers- something that is currently absent in the game.
Gameplay Modes
As our primary objective is to emphasise team-based gameplay, we have introduced various gameplay modes to showcase this feature. It’s important to note that the modes we have announced thus far are only a glimpse of what’s to come at the game’s release. Team-based gameplay presents us with a multitude of opportunities to introduce exciting and captivating modes in the future. So, rest assured that there will be plenty of options to enjoy and explore as we continue to expand the game.
Team Deathmatch
Team size: 3vs3
This game mode is all about players working together in order to get a certain amount of kills against the enemy team. Upon death, the player will respawn in their respective team base.
Team Killstreak
Team size: 3vs3
Instead of a specific number of kills as a winning condition, team killstreak will provide players with a score based on the number of kills. Killing more players without dying will provide a higher score and the team to reach the target score wins.
Co-Op vs AI
While this game mode will not provide players with resources and rewards, it’s the perfect place for players to get accustomed with the game, try out different characters, weapons and builds.
New Map
To ensure that our game modes, gameplay style, and pacing are optimized for team-based gameplay, we recognized the need for a new map that better aligns with our current vision. Our previous maps were ill-suited for team play and lacked functionality. After numerous tests and tweaks, we are proud to unveil a new map that offers diverse strategy options and compelling gameplay. Players can now focus on specific areas of the map, defend choke points, and navigate the map to gain a tactical advantage and achieve victory.
As a team-based game, we understand the importance of spawning mechanics. Random spawning can lead to players finding themselves alone against an enemy team, which is not conducive to effective teamwork. To address this, we have made sure that players always respawn in their respective bases. This enables teams to coordinate and plan their next moves while ensuring that players can regroup and work together.
In addition to the new map design and spawning mechanics, we have also added grass for players to take cover and become invisible to enemy players. This allows for strategic play and ambush opportunities. Moreover, health pickups are now available at two distinct locations on the map. Players can monitor their timers and decide which objective to go for, adding another layer of strategy to the gameplay experience. Overall, these changes provide players with an exciting and engaging experience that emphasises teamwork, strategy, and skill.
Thank you all for your continued support!
